About the Nails
How long do Velvette Nails last?
When applied correctly using our professional-grade nail glue and following the included prep instructions, your Velvette nails can last up to 14 days. If you prefer a shorter commitment, our adhesive tabs provide a secure hold for 1 to 3 days — perfect for a weekend event or special occasion.
Can I reuse my Velvette Nails?
Yes. Our luxury press-on nails are crafted from durable, high-quality materials designed for multiple wears. By using our gentle removal method (soaking in warm, soapy water with cuticle oil), you can safely remove the nails without bending or cracking them. Simply buff away any remaining dried glue from the back of the press-on nail, and they are ready for your next application.
Are press-on nails safe for my natural nails?
Absolutely. Velvette nails are a damage-conscious alternative to traditional salon acrylics and gel manicures. Because our application process requires only light buffing — and our removal process does not involve harsh acetone soaking or aggressive scraping — your natural nail bed remains healthy and strong.
Can I shower, swim, or work out with them on?
Yes. Velvette nails are built for real life. Once the adhesive has fully cured (we recommend avoiding water for the first two hours after application), your nails are water-resistant and durable enough to withstand daily activities, including typing, workouts, and washing your hair.
Sizing & Application
How do I find my correct size?
We have eliminated the guesswork. Every Velvette set includes 30 multi-sized nails, ensuring a perfect, custom fit for every finger from thumb to pinky. Simply test the sizes against your natural nail before applying — the ideal fit should cover your nail from sidewall to sidewall without touching your skin or cuticle.
How do I apply them?
Application takes under 10 minutes:
- Prep: Push back cuticles and gently buff the nail surface. Wipe clean with the included alcohol prep pad.
- Size: Select the nail that fits perfectly from sidewall to sidewall.
- Apply: Apply a drop of glue (or an adhesive tab), press firmly for 30 seconds, and you're ready to go.

How do I remove them safely?
Never pull or force the nails off. To remove your Velvette nails safely, soak your hands in a bowl of warm, soapy water mixed with a few drops of cuticle oil or olive oil for 10 to 15 minutes. Once the adhesive softens, use the wooden cuticle stick from your prep kit to gently lift the edges of the press-on nail until it slides off easily.
